Professor Peter Hofmann has become KUKA

At today's meeting, the supervisory board of KUKA AG appointed Dr. Peter Hofmann as a member of the board of directors of KUKA AG effective November 1, 2019.

Peter Hofmann previously served at Krones AG as senior vice President of research and development and digital in the new traublin region of Bavaria.He studied aerospace engineering and computer science at the university of Stuttgart.After completing his doctorate in computer science, he began his career as a research and development engineer at daimler-benz AG's hindfegan plant.There, he gained a comprehensive knowledge of developing and producing complex products in an international environment through his experience in various positions.In 2003, he was appointed honorary professor of automotive mechanical and electrical systems at dresden polytechnic university.

In 2005 Dr Hofmann switched to automation.As technical director of ingelphingen Burkert GmbH & Co KG he is responsible for the development of control and control components.Between 2010 and 2017 he worked for Festo AG, an esringen company.As vice President, he was responsible for establishing the new process automation business.Following the successful establishment of the business unit, Dr. Hofmann served as senior vice President of global research and development for Festo AG from 2013 to 2017.

The native is now married and was born in 1964 in tutlingen, baden-wurttemberg.
